Marti Jill Rothe, MD took her undergraduate work in the Honors Program at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and received her MD from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, where she also took her internship. For dermatology training, she went to the Department of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Since 1988, she has been a faculty member at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT and attained the rank of professor in 2015.
Her clinical interests include complex medical dermatology, phototherapy, contact dermatitis, comparative dermatology, and the care of patients at high risk for skin cancer. Doctor Rothe most recently has Co-Guest Edited the three-part series for Clinics in Dermatology, entitled Kids are not just little people. She also has edited an issue of The International Journal of Women’s Dermatology, which has highlighted the career of Jane M. Grant-Kels, MD, another member of the Editorial Board of Clinics in Dermatology. Doctor Rothe enjoys mentoring medical students, particularly in the preparation of manuscripts for the dermatologic literature.
