Franco Rongioletti, MD is Professor and Chairman of the Dermatology Unit at the Vita Salute S. Raffaele University, Milan, Italy. He received his M.D. from the University of Genoa, where he also took his dermatology training. He has been Assistant Professor of Dermatology in Strasbourg, France, Associate Professor of Dermatology in Genoa and from 2016 - 2021 Professor and Chairman at the University of Cagliari, Sardinia Island, Italy. He is also Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Miami, FL.
He is a member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), Italian Society of Dermatology (SIDeMaST), and the International Society of Dermatopathology (ISDP), as well as being an Honorary Member of the Societé Francaise de Dermatologie (SFD), Swiss Society of dermatology, Bulgarian Society of Dermatology, and Maltese Society of Dermatology. Professor Rongioletti serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, American Journal of Dermatopathology, Annales de Dermatologie et de Vénéréologie, and Giornale Italiano di Dermatologia e Venereologia.
His fields of interest include clinico-pathologic correlation, dermatopathology, deposition disorders, mucinoses, and skin oncology. He is the author of several chapters and books, as well as over 380 publications relating to the skin.
