Drew Kurtzman, MD, is a practicing dermatologist at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, Kentucky, where he directs a clinic in complex medical dermatology and holds a volunteer faculty position at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, training dermatology residents in complex dermatologic diseases. He received his Bachelor of Science at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona and went on to complete his medical training, receiving his Doctor of Medicine, at the same institution. He subsequently completed his internship and residency in dermatology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Following residency, Dr. Kurtzman trained in autoimmune skin diseases, completing a fellowship in Rheumatology-Dermatology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Massachusetts.
His clinical interests include autoimmune blistering disease, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, rheumatologic dermatology, and vasculitis. Outside of work, Dr. Kurtzman is an avid nonfiction reader and enjoys studying etymology, nutrition, and the science of consciousness. He most enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also a practicing dermatologist.
