Doctor Guy Webster received both his MD and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He took his dermatology training at the Skin and Cancer Unit of New York University School of Medicine, following which he joined the faculty of Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where he became Professor of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology at Jefferson and Vice-Chairman for Clinical Affairs for the Department. He is currently a clinical professor at the same institution and is in the private practice of dermatology in Hockessin, DE.

His main dermatologic interests are in inflammatory skin diseases, especially acne and rosacea, and has authored many papers on the subjects. He holds membership in the American Association for Acne and Rosacea, American Academy of Dermatology, Society for Investigative Dermatology, American Dermatological Association, and Masters Dermatology Society.
