Sarah Stein, MD is Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine, where she is the Director of both Pediatric Dermatology and the Dermatology Residency Program. She received her BA degree from Haverford College and her MD degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Doctor Stein completed her pediatrics residency training at the New England Medical Center/Tufts University and her dermatology residency training at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Doctor Stein is an expert in the diagnosis and management of childhood skin diseases. She has a special interest in the presentation of skin disease in children of color. She is a member of the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance and collaborates on research initiatives to better characterize and manage pediatric skin disorders and associated systemic manifestations. Doctor Stein is a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

For her efforts both as a clinician and teacher, she has been chosen as a Senior Faculty Scholar in the Bucksbaum Institute for Clinical Excellence and is a fellow in the Academy of Distinguished Medical Educators at the University of Chicago. She has been received the Department of Medicine's Excellence in Education and Clinical Care Award and the Department’s Postgraduate Teaching Award.
