In early 1938, while Australia hosted the British Empire Games and held parades to mark the sesquicentenary of British settlement in the country, storm clouds were gathering rapidly on the other side of the world. Among those keen to flee Continental Europe were five Jewish dermatologists who eventually found their way to the Australian state of New South Wales. This is their story
