Abstract
Jean Louis Alibert, widely considered to be the founder of French dermatology, was
perhaps most well-known for two main books on dermatology during his time—the Description des maladies de la peau and the Clinique de hôpital Saint-Louis. Both volumes were exquisitely conceptualized and illustrated. This presentation
provides a window through which we may view Alibert's imagery in dermatology.
