The use of makeup has been traced back to mankind’s earliest days. It was used as
a decorative product with the intent to frighten enemies, possibly attract a mate,
(the men wore the makeup in those days), assist in retelling the story of the hunt
and the fortunes of war, and to assist the deceased in their travel to a friendly
place of rest.
